Summer Smooches Aviary

Good morning!

I was going to wait until tonight to post but I have a few extra minutes to blog this morning :-)  I made this card last night for the Paper Players challenge and for a 30 Projects in May challenge.

I knew I wanted to use The Paper Player’s sketch this week after seeing the DT samples and other samples around the web.  Love the circle elements and the little flag banners.  I decided this card would be made up of mostly retiring product.  I used my Aviary stamp set for the 2nd time (still need to share the first card!) and my Summer Smooches DSP, Cloudy Day embossing folder and bright buttons for the first time.

Here is the sketch I used~

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Aviary

Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight

CS: Tempting Turquoise

DSP: Summer Smooches

Accessories/Tools: Cloudy Day EF (Spring Catalog), Lucky Limeade Baker’s Twine, Brights buttons, Sizzlits Delicate Doilies

Oh, Hello!

Good morning!

Today’s card share is for the sketch challenge at Create Connie & Mary.  When I saw the oval, I immediately knew I wanted to ink up the chevron oval and Oh, Hello sentiment from the Oh, Hello stamp set to create a masculine card.

Here is the sketch~ I flipped it so I could use this sentiment :-)

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Oh, Hello

Ink: Midnight Muse (stamped off once), Summer Starfruit

CS: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla

DSP: Comfort Cafe

Accessories/Tools: Oval Framelits, Midnight Muse satin stitched ribbon

Papillon Potpourri Sketch

Good morning!

Today I’m sharing another card from Saturday’s crop.  This one is for the sketch at Flutter By Wednesdays, loved the layers on it! I used my favorite set, Papillon Potpourri and I was excited to not have to cut it out since my punch arrived. Yay!  I inked the doily with Soft Suede ink using a sponge. I really like how it turned out!

Mojo Hello

Hi friends!

Today has been quite the productive day.  I’m finally making a dent in our “guest” room so that I can relocate some craft stuff when I paint my room.  It’s amazing the junk I am finding that I moved 4 years ago and haven’t looked at until now!  We also went to a local food truck festival and met up with my sister, her husband and my adorable nephew for a little bit.

This is one of two cards I will share today for challenges.  I created this one with the Mojo Monday sketch which ends in a few hours, so you still have time if you want to enter!

I combined the two middle panels on the sketch (shown below) so that I could stamp this sentiment from the Oh, Hello stamp set.  The flower is also from the same stamp set and I colored it with the Stampin Markers and then stamped it.

Here is the sketch~

Thanks for looking!  I’ll post the next card in a few hours.  Time for more cleaning – yay, ha!

Bitty Butterfly Thank You

Hello and Happy Weekend!

I went to a charity crop today with some friends and got 8 cards created! Tonight I’m sharing one for a challenge that ends in a few hours.  I tried to blog from the crop a few times but my smartphone wasn’t acting so smart (apologies to my email subscribers if you got those half posts).

I used this week’s Nacho Average Challenges sketch for my card layout.  Here is my take on it~

I used the Bitty Butterfly punch in place of the circles on the sketch and tilted them for a fun look :-)

Here is the sketch I used~

Thanks for looking! I’ll have more cards to share over the next few days!

Stamps: Embellished Events

Make a Cake

Hi friends!

I finally sat down to play with some stamps today!  I used Make a Cake and Itty Bitty Banners to create this birthday card, my favorite type of cards to make!  Not sure why all the embossing isn’t showing up…sigh…I need to get some better lighting I think.

I incorporated a few challenges:

The Friday Mashup #105 (sketch + birthday card)

Cupcake Inspirations #206

CIC206 (2)

Flutterby Wednesdays #235 - Open (include butterfly or fairy)

Thanks for visiting!

Stamps: Make a Cake, Itty Bitty Banners

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Crumb Cake

Ink: Bashful Blue

Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, dimensionals (banner is popped up)

Primrose Petals Birthday

Hi friends!

It’s almost Wednesday, so very excited for tomorrow night!  Hubby and I are having date night at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Red Sox (me) /Yankees (him) game. Time to start up the rivalry again!

Tonight I created a card for two challenges – The Dynamic Duo Challenge #46 (to use primrose petals and one color of my choice)and a second entry for the Sweet Sunday Sketch. You can see my first entry HERE.  When thinking about what color to coordinate with the pink, I chose Gumball Green which is another color in the 2012-2014 In Color series.  I used several things for the first time on this card, go me!

Here is my card~

To fill up the Whisper White panel, I stamped off the Upsy Daisy image from the March Best of Flowers set twice on a scrap piece of paper and then onto the panel.  I then stamped the image off once and stamped it on the panel and then stamped a third image straight onto the panel.  I really like how it came out!   I stamped a sentiment from Petite Pairs and then added a few butterflies from the Bitty Butterfly punch and embellished them with Basic Pearls.

Here is the color challenge image~

and the sketch I used~

Stamps: Best of Series – Flowers (March)

Cardstock: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Whisper White

Ink: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green

Calypso Coral Butterflies

Hello friends!

I am sharing a card I made at a crop a few weeks ago using the Papillon Potpourri set.  This is one I chose with my starter kit since I just LOVE butterflies!  I was inspired by a color challenge at The Play Date Cafe and a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to create it.   I love how this came out!  To add some texture to the card I ran a piece of Basic Black through the Square Lattice folder and for a bit of dimension I fussy cut one of the butterflies and popped it up.

Stamps: Papillon Potpourri (clear mount)

Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Calypso Coral

Accessories: Square Lattice embossing folder, gems – non SU, washi tape – non SU
